Debra Stewart Interiors is a full-scale interior design firm founded in Dallas, Texas, in 1991.
Debra Stewart Interiors is an American design firm known for its intelligence and unique sensibility. Led by founder and principal designer, Debra Stewart, its mission is to create meaningful spaces filled with beauty, inspiration and artistic integrity.
With 30 years' experience and a multi-disciplinary approach, Debra embraces art and architecture in her interior schemes. She specializes in interior and architectural design for new construction and full renovations. The true virtuosity of her work comes from meaningful collaborations with her clients, architects and contractors to bring each project to life, from concept to completion.
Founder / Principal Designer
Born into an innovative family, Debra's parents owned a bronze foundry, casting original sculpture in the ancient lost wax method for tabletop bronzes and monumental size bronzes. Her family created all sorts of things and was very involved in the art world. Debra's grandfather was a craftsman who built homes, among other things. For Debra, life was filled with creativity and a rare appreciation for art and construction. Debra ultimately found her own calling in interior design.
A graduate of Texas Christian University (Riff Ram!), Debra holds a BS in Interior Design. She furthered her education by studying English Architecture at Oxford University, and studied English Furniture and Antiques at Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London. Debra lived five years abroad, rooted in wanderlust. Most days were spent discovering art, architecture and the beauty held within diverse cultures.
Debra is a Registered Interior Designer with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners; a professional member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID); and has obtained her National Certified Interior Design Qualification Certificate (NCIDQ). Debra has always been and will always be a student of life.
